New vacancy! Flexible SEN Supply Teacher – Stowmarket

An exciting opportunity to join our growing team! As a supply SEND Teacher you will be supporting a variety of specialist provisions across Stowmarket, Ipswich, and Bury St Edmunds. This role offers the chance to work within a diverse range of settings including specialist schools, Alternative Provisions (APs), and Special Education Units (SEU), all of which are committed to delivering tailored education for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Each setting provides a supportive, well-resourced environment, with smaller class sizes, higher staff-to-student ratios, and a curriculum designed around individual learning needs and life skills development. This is an ideal opportunity for teachers seeking flexibility while making a meaningful impact, or those who are considering transitioning into SEND education and would like to gain hands-on experience before committing to a permanent role. In this role, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, support behaviour positively, and collaborate closely with teaching assistants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for students. The nature of supply allows you to experience a variety of settings, enhancing your skillset and confidence within SEND environments. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing atmosphere where pupils can thrive both academically and socially, benefitting from specialist resources and tailored support strategies that are a hallmark of SEND provision. The benefits of SEND teaching are significant and rewarding. You will experience a more personalised approach to teaching, with smaller class sizes allowing for meaningful teacher-pupil relationships, improved work-life balance through flexible placements, and access to enhanced classroom resources. SEND settings often provide strong staff collaboration and training opportunities, making them an excellent environment for professional development. This role is particularly well-suited to individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a lasting difference.

  • Contract duration: Ongoing
  • Contract type: PART_TIME – Hours: 8:30-4:30
  • Age groups: Primary and Secondary School

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and confident working with pupils in a SEN School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are seeking a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who is passionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality education.
