New opening! Flexible Supply Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) – North West Suffolk | 1–5 Days per Week – Bury St Edmunds
At 4myschools, we’re excited to be growing our network of Learning Support Assistants following the recent securing of a new partnership for the upcoming academic year with a trust of primary schools in North West Suffolk. We’re now looking to register a team of experienced LSAs with a variety of skills, backgrounds and specialisms to support across multiple schools within the trust, covering a range of year groups, learning abilities and additional needs. This opportunity is ideal for LSAs who want the flexibility of supply work while still being part of a consistent, well-organised partnership. Opportunities are available from 1 to 5 days per week, meaning you can work around your availability while gaining regular placements. Across the trust, support is needed in different formats, including 1:1 support, small group interventions and in-class assistance. You may work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEN and more complex requirements depending on your experience and preferences. In these roles, LSAs will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils in accessing learning, building confidence and staying engaged in the classroom. Responsibilities may include adapting learning resources, supporting communication and social development, assisting with behaviour management strategies and helping to create a positive, inclusive environment in the classroom. Some assignments may involve supporting pupils with additional or complex needs, allowing LSAs to use and develop specialist skills. The schools within this trust are known for their supportive ethos, collaborative staff teams and strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing. Working hours are typically 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
- Contract duration: Supply Teacher, Temporary (Short Term), Fixed Term, Temporary (Long Term), Ongoing, Contract (Fixed Duration), Temp-to-Perm
- Contract type: TEMPORARY, FULL_TIME, PART_TIME – Hours: 08:30 – 3:30
- Age groups: Primary School
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
We are keen to hear from Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants who bring a range of experience, whether that’s working within a particular key stage, supporting SEN, or working with pupils with more complex needs. A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths is essential. You will be reliable, adaptable and passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across different school settings are key. Due to travelling between schools within the trust, access to your own transport is highly desirable. This is an ongoing opportunity for the full academic year, offering both flexibility and continuity as part of a wider LSA network.
