Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we are expanding our pool of reliable, nurturing support staff for mainstream primary settings. Our schools are friendly, inclusive and community‑focused, with a strong commitment to pupil wellbeing, individual progress and supportive teamwork. You’ll have the freedom to choose when and where you work, with opportunities ranging from day‑to‑day supply to short‑ and longer‑term placements. Working hours are typically 8:30am–3:30pm. This is a mobile supply role, so applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle, allowing travel to schools within a 30 minutes of your postcode.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

In this role, you will support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within primary school settings, helping children with SEND and additional learning needs to access the curriculum confidently. You may be involved in adapting classroom activities to suit individual abilities, delivering targeted interventions where appropriate, and encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence. You’ll work closely with class teachers and SENCOs, becoming a valued part of the wider school team, with every placement offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference while gaining experience across a range of school environments. We welcome applications from individuals who have previous experience in a school or educational setting (although this is not essential), and who are patient, proactive and confident at building positive relationships quickly. A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development is key, along with the ability to adapt easily when working across different schools and classrooms. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, a Level 3 Early Years or Early Years Educator qualification, or relevant experience in SEND support, youth work, mentoring, counselling or behaviour support. Backgrounds in sports coaching or the creative arts, such as drama, dance, art or music, are also highly valued.
