Are you a qualified and experienced HLTA looking for a varied and rewarding role across the primary age range? 4myschools are working in partnership with a friendly and forward-thinking 1 form entry primary setting in the Colchester area, seeking a confident HLTA to cover PPA across EYFS to Year 6 on a 4-day per week basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across all key stages, maintaining continuity of learning, and ensuring high standards of behaviour and engagement. You will confidently adapt to different age groups and subjects, support pupils with a range of abilities including those with additional needs, and work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff. The role requires strong classroom management, flexibility, and the ability to build positive relationships quickly. About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a Level 4 HLTA (or equivalent) with proven experience covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and be confident delivering lessons independently. Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be reliable, proactive, and available to work 4 days per week during term time, within standard school hours. Due to the location, access to your own transport is highly recommended. A committed and flexible approach, alongside a genuine passion for supporting children’s education, is essential. This position is ongoing, offering consistency and the chance to become part of a supportive school community.
