The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate for a KS1 Primary Long‑Term Supply Teacher role is someone who brings warmth, patience, and a deep understanding of early childhood learning. They will hold QTS and have proven experience teaching within UK KS1 classrooms, with the confidence to step into Year 1 or Year 2 and quickly establish routines that help young learners feel secure and ready to learn. They’re creative and engaging, able to deliver strong phonics teaching, early literacy and numeracy, and hands‑on learning that keeps children motivated. They manage behaviour with calm consistency, communicate clearly with colleagues and parents, and adapt easily to the needs of different classes. Most importantly, they’re someone who sees long‑term supply as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, build strong relationships, and position themselves for future permanent or leadership roles within the school.
