We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring Key Stage 1 Year 1 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. A welcoming primary school near Wisbech is looking to appoint a full-time Year 1 Teacher from January 2027 on a fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum. The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum. They will be committed to creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential. They will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can deliver creative and inspiring lessons, effectively assess pupil progress, and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners. Strong behaviour management skills, high expectations of pupil achievement, and a nurturing approach to supporting children’s academic, social, and emotional development are essential. The successful candidate will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community. They will be enthusiastic, organised, and committed to maintaining the school’s welcoming and inclusive ethos. Whether an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher, they will demonstrate a genuine passion for primary education and a desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners.
