We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to support pupils on a daily supply basis, with the opportunity to transition into long-term roles. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum, assisting with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities, and working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning. You may also provide classroom support for pupils with additional needs, helping to maintain a positive learning environment, encourage behaviour for learning, and ensure all children feel supported and included. You will play a key role in preparing classroom resources, supervising activities, and promoting students’ social and emotional development.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be committed  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (or C) in English and Maths and have previous experience supporting children within an educational or childcare setting. Whilst a Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills such as youth work, support work, coaching, or care backgrounds. You should be adaptable, reliable, and confident working across different school environments, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young learners. Availability for term-time working (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm) is essential, along with access to your own transport to travel to various school locations in and around King’s Lynn. Opportunities are available immediately, with both short-term daily bookings and ongoing long-term placements.
