New opening! Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Gorleston

4myschools is currently recruiting enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work within a range of welcoming primary schools across Gorleston and the surrounding areas. We are offering a variety of opportunities including daily supply, part-time placements and full-time long-term positions, making this an excellent opportunity for education professionals seeking either flexibility or consistency in their next role. As a Primary HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Depending on the needs of each school, you may be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, leading small group interventions, supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and helping to raise attainment across core curriculum subjects. You will work closely with teaching staff to create engaging learning experiences that support pupils academically, socially and emotionally. The schools we work with are committed to creating inclusive, supportive and inspiring learning environments where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. They place a strong emphasis on developing confidence, independence and a love of learning whilst ensuring all pupils feel valued, respected and supported. As a supply or long-term HLTA, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of school communities and gain valuable experience across different educational settings. Your responsibilities may include covering classes during teacher absence, delivering planned learning activities, supporting literacy and numeracy interventions, monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. You may also work with pupils who require additional support, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Schools are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and moderate learning difficulties. A strong understanding of how to adapt learning to meet individual needs would be highly beneficial. For candidates seeking long-term opportunities, there may be additional responsibilities such as contributing to planning, attending staff meetings, building strong relationships with families and becoming an integral member of the school team. Daily supply work offers the chance to experience a variety of schools whilst maintaining complete flexibility over your working schedule.
