New opportunity! Primary Supply Teacher – Bishops Stortford

We are currently working with a number of welcoming primary schools in and around Bishop’s Stortford who are seeking Primary Supply Teachers to provide daily cover on an ongoing basis, starting ASAP. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy flexibility while continuing to make a positive impact in the classroom. The schools we support are mainstream primary settings with a strong focus on creating calm, inclusive learning environments where pupils feel supported and encouraged. Staff teams are typically collaborative and appreciative of reliable supply teachers who can step in confidently and maintain continuity of learning. Supply teachers play an important role in supporting day‑to‑day classroom routines and ensuring pupils remain engaged throughout the school day. As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will provide short‑term classroom cover across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on your experience and preferences. You will follow pre‑set lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure pupils remain focused and supported in their learning.

• Contract duration: Ongoing
• Contract type: FULL_TIME, PART_TIME – Hours: 8.15-3.15
• Age groups: Primary School

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

This role would suit a confident and adaptable teacher who can quickly build rapport with pupils and staff. You should feel comfortable stepping into different school settings and maintaining positive classroom environments. A flexible, calm approach and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching primary‑aged children will help you succeed in this role. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools is desirable and somebody who is confident delivering pre‑planned lessons across the primary curriculum.
