As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2, following planning where provided or adapting resources to suit the needs of the class. You will establish clear expectations for behaviour and utilise strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and productive classroom environment. Building rapport quickly with pupils and staff will be key, as well as ensuring continuity of learning and providing feedback at the end of each day. The role offers complete flexibility, allowing you to choose the days you work, making it ideal for those seeking a better work-life balance or varied teaching experience across year groups.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching within the UK primary curriculum. Candidates must have strong behaviour management skills and a confident classroom presence. A minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English is essential. Experience supporting pupils with additional needs or SEN is highly desirable, alongside a flexible and proactive approach to teaching. Due to the location on the outskirts of Bishop’s Stortford, access to your own transport is highly advantageous. You should be available for work between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time, although part-time availability will be considered. This is an ongoing supply opportunity with no fixed end date, offering consistency alongside flexibility.
