New opening! Primary Supply Teacher – Cheshunt

At 4myschools, we are working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary setting in the Cheshunt area, seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teacher to join their team on a flexible, ongoing basis. This school prides itself on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. With a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, creative learning, and tailored support, the school offers a rewarding setting for teachers passionate about delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour, supporting pupils with a range of abilities including those with additional needs, and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will foster a positive and productive classroom atmosphere, adapt teaching approaches where required, and work collaboratively with support staff to meet the individual needs of pupils. Working hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, with flexibility around daily or longer-term bookings depending on your availability.

  • Contract duration: Temporary (Short Term)
  • Contract type: TEMPORARY – Hours: 8:30 to 3:30
  • Age groups: Primary School

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching within a primary school setting and demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge across one or more key stages. You will hold a minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English, alongside a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. You should be reliable, flexible, and confident managing different classroom environments whilst quickly building rapport with pupils and staff. Due to the nature of supply work across Cheshunt and the surrounding areas, access to your own transport is highly desirable. This role is ideal for teachers seeking flexible work arrangements, whether you are looking for short-term, day-to-day assignments or longer-term placements.
