Sports coaching in Norwich, Norfolk schools involve stepping into a variety of educational institutions to deliver sports coaching sessions. As a 4myschools sports coach, you get the opportunity to work with diverse students, varying age groups, and multiple sports disciplines. Your role entails instilling sportsmanship, teamwork, and a passion for physical activity among students while ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Sport Coach Job Norwich:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons based on provided curriculum or lesson plans.
• Plan fun, engaging and safe coaching activities and sessions.
• Give feedback on performance and how to improve skills and technique.
• Motivate and inspire your students to fulfil their potential.
• Offer advice on nutrition, lifestyle and preparation.
• Design advanced programs for elite sportspersons.
• Support performers at events and competitions.

• Contract type: Supply – Hours: 8:30 – 15:30
• Age groups: Key Stage 4

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

Requirements for the Sport Coach Job Norwich:

• University course: Sports coaching and development, sports and exercise science, sports studies, physical education.
• College course: Level 2 Diploma in Sport Level 3 Extended Certificate in Sports Coaching, you may be able to do a Level 3 Diploma in Coaching qualification for your particular chosen sport.
• An apprenticeship: Level 2 Community activator coach, Level 3 Personal trainer, Level 3 Community sport and health officer, Level 4 Sports coach.
• Volunteering: Youth Sports Programs, Local Schools or Community Centre’s, Assistant Coaching Positions.
• First Aid and CPR Certification: Obtain valid certifications in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to handle any emergencies that may occur during coaching sessions.
