Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be motivated and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and adaptable STEM teacher who thrives in different classroom environments and is confident delivering engaging lessons across secondary age groups. They will have strong subject knowledge within Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, ICT, Design & Technology or another STEM discipline, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting student progress and achievement. Successful applicants will be able to quickly establish positive relationships with students and staff, confidently manage classroom behaviour, and adapt to the needs of different schools and departments. A flexible and proactive approach is essential, as the role involves working across a variety of secondary schools throughout Norwich on both short-term and longer-term assignments. This opportunity would suit experienced teachers looking for greater flexibility, Early Career Teachers (ECTs) keen to gain exposure to different school settings, or educators returning to the profession who want to rebuild confidence and expand their professional network. Candidates who see supply teaching as a way to showcase their skills, build relationships with local schools and create pathways to future long-term or permanent opportunities will be particularly well suited to the role. Applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, although unqualified teachers with relevant classroom experience may also be considered for certain positions.
