About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be committed and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and adaptable STEM teacher who enjoys the variety that supply teaching offers and is keen to build relationships with secondary schools across Thetford, Attleborough, Watton, Brandon, Mildenhall and the surrounding areas. They will be confident stepping into new classroom environments, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards of learning while making a positive impact on students. We are looking for teachers with strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, ICT, Design & Technology, Engineering or another STEM-related discipline, alongside excellent classroom management and communication skills. Successful candidates will be able to quickly establish rapport with students and staff, demonstrate flexibility in their approach and thrive in a range of educational settings. This opportunity is well suited to experienced teachers seeking greater work-life balance, Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable experience across different schools, or educators returning to teaching who want to rebuild confidence and broaden their professional network. Candidates who are proactive, reliable and view supply teaching as a pathway to future long-term or permanent opportunities will particularly excel in this role. To be considered, applicants should hold QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. However, applications from unqualified teachers with relevant secondary classroom experience may also be considered for certain roles.
