As a Food and Nutrition Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a stimulating and knowledge-rich curriculum that develops practical culinary skills alongside a deeper understanding of nutrition, food science, health and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum design, embed effective teaching and learning strategies and continually raise standards across the subject area. Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment activities, departmental initiatives and whole-school events. You will also take on pastoral responsibilities as a form tutor, helping to promote student wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development. Working closely with colleagues, school leaders and external agencies, you will play an important role in ensuring students receive the guidance and support they need to thrive both academically and personally. The successful candidate will maintain the highest professional standards and actively engage in professional development opportunities, quality assurance processes and collaborative planning activities. The successful candidate will be able to motivate and challenge students of all abilities, creating an inclusive classroom environment where every learner is encouraged to succeed.
