We are working with a range of welcoming and well‑run secondary schools in and around Ware who are seeking reliable and adaptable day‑to‑day supply teachers to support with short‑notice and planned absence cover. The schools supported through this role are mainstream secondary settings serving students across Key Stages 3 and 4. They are typically structured, supportive environments with clear behaviour policies and established routines that help supply staff settle quickly. Supply teachers play a key role in keeping lessons running smoothly and providing consistency for pupils during staff absence. You may work in different schools week to week, gaining experience across a variety of teaching styles and school cultures. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking for flexible work, varied school settings, and the chance to maintain a healthy work–life balance while staying active in the classroom. Day‑to‑day supply roles offer the chance to work across different secondary environments, delivering pre‑set lessons, maintaining positive classroom behaviour, and ensuring continuity of learning throughout the school day.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proactive  and confident working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

This role would suit a confident and adaptable teacher who is comfortable stepping into new classrooms at short notice. You will be calm, organised, and able to build quick rapport with secondary‑age pupils. A flexible approach and a positive attitude are key, along with the ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures accurately. Both experienced teachers and those returning to teaching or seeking flexible work are encouraged to apply. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, along with experience of working with secondary‑age pupils. Confidence managing classroom behaviour in a secondary setting is important.
