This is a one-form entry primary school with a warm, community feel and a leadership team that is approachable and supportive in day-to-day practice. Staff work closely together, creating a settled environment where shared planning, open communication and consistent routines are valued. The role sits within a Year 1 class on a job-share basis, so there is a strong emphasis on continuity for pupils across the week. The class currently needs careful teaching input to help raise attainment, and the school is looking for someone who can contribute positively within a well-supported KS1 setting.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be motivated  and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be an experienced KS1 teacher who can bring structure, patience and clear expectations to a Year 1 classroom. They should be confident in adapting teaching to meet pupils where they are, while helping children build confidence and make steady academic progress. This role would suit someone who works well in partnership with colleagues and can maintain a consistent approach within a job-share arrangement. A calm, practical and nurturing teaching style will be particularly important in supporting a class working below expected levels.
