Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience before committing to a permanent role or starting your ECT induction? We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Primary ECT Teachers to work across a variety of schools in Ipswich on a supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity to build confidence, develop your teaching skills, and experience different school environments while maintaining flexibility. About the Schools You will have the opportunity to work in a range of welcoming primary schools across Ipswich, each with its own unique ethos and approach to learning. Supply teaching allows you to experience different settings, year groups, and leadership styles, helping you identify the type of school where you can thrive as you begin your teaching career. Schools are keen to welcome ECTs who bring energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to the classroom. The Role As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, support pupils’ learning, and gain hands-on experience across a variety of year groups. Working on supply enables you to strengthen your classroom management skills, adapt to different teaching environments, and build a broad understanding of primary education before committing to your ECT induction. Opportunities are available to suit a range of availability, from occasional days to full-time supply work.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
We are looking for a positive and adaptable ECT who is passionate about making a difference in children’s education. You will be keen to learn, confident building relationships with pupils and staff, and capable of creating engaging learning experiences. This role is ideal for those wanting to explore different schools and gain practical experience before securing a longer-term or permanent position.
