The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, adaptable and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a positive learning environment. They will have the ability to engage and motivate students, maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning, and confidently lead a classroom in the absence of a teacher. Comfortable working with students across different year groups and subjects, they will be capable of building positive relationships quickly and creating an atmosphere where students can remain focused, productive and engaged. This role is ideally suited to graduates considering a future career in teaching, experienced teaching assistants looking to broaden their classroom experience, youth workers, sports coaches or individuals with experience working with young people in a professional setting. Equally, candidates from other sectors who possess strong leadership, communication and organisational skills and are looking to move into education will be encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, resilience, professionalism and the ability to think on their feet. They will be reliable, approachable and capable of managing classroom behaviour effectively while following lesson plans and instructions provided by teaching staff.
