4myschools are recruiting enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Nursery Practitioners, Level 3 Nursery Nurses, Early Years Practitioners, Childcare Practitioners and Early Years Educators for a welcoming nursery and primary setting within Essex. We are looking for reliable professionals who can support on both pre-booked assignments and same-day morning requests, offering flexibility to suit your availability. Whether you’re looking for 2 days per week or a full 5-day schedule, we would love to hear from you. This friendly and inclusive school is a smaller primary and nursery setting that forms part of a respected church school multi-academy trust. Serving children from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 2, the school has built a strong reputation for its nurturing, family-centred approach and commitment to helping every child thrive. As a supply Nursery Practitioner, you will support children’s learning and development through play-based activities, assist with daily routines, encourage communication and social development, and help create a safe, positive and engaging environment. You may support small groups, work with individual children including those with additional needs, contribute to observations and assessments, and work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education. Flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential as no two days are ever the same.

Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be proactive and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

Candidates must hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification and have a minimum of Grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Previous nursery, preschool, school nursery or early years experience is highly desirable; however, we also encourage applications from candidates with transferable skills gained through childcare, education, SEND support, youth work, family support, residential care, healthcare, social care or similar child-focused environments. You should be available for pre-booked and occasional same-day work, demonstrate excellent communication skills and have access to reliable transport due to the flexible nature of supply assignments. A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development and wellbeing is essential.
