New opening! KS2 Teacher – Haverhill

This role involves working across a range of welcoming primary schools in the Haverhill area, each offering a supportive and well-structured environment. Schools vary in size and setting, but typically promote a calm, inclusive ethos where pupils are encouraged to engage positively in their learning. As a supply teacher, you will step into established classroom routines, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining continuity for pupils. Staff teams are usually collaborative and helpful, making it easier for visiting teachers to settle in quickly.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The most suitable candidate will be confident delivering lessons across Key Stage 2 and able to respond flexibly to different classroom settings. A calm and adaptable approach is important, with the ability to manage behaviour effectively and keep pupils focused throughout the day. Strong communication skills will help you build quick rapport with pupils and staff alike. You should feel comfortable following existing plans while using your initiative to manage the classroom smoothly.

What you need to start

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is expected for this role. 
Previous experience teaching in a UK primary school setting is beneficial. 
Flexibility to travel to different schools within the local area is helpful. 
Availability for ad-hoc or short-notice bookings will be advantageous.
