Are you a passionate Primary Supply Teacher looking for flexible, rewarding work in a supportive school environment? 4myschools are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Potters Bar that is seeking a dedicated and adaptable teacher to join their team on a supply basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. You will manage classroom behaviour effectively, adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and support pupils in achieving their full potential. You will also be expected to mark work in line with school policies, provide feedback where required, and work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships across year groups while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers. Working hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and confident working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and have recent experience teaching within a primary school setting. You will have a strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum and the ability to confidently deliver lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including those requiring differentiated learning approaches, will be highly beneficial. Applicants must have a minimum of GCSE Grade C/4 in English and Maths. You should be flexible, reliable, and able to travel to Potters Bar, with access to your own transport being highly desirable due to the location. Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude are essential. Whether you are an experienced teacher or looking to gain further experience across different school environments, this role offers valuable opportunities for professional growth. The booking duration may vary depending on school needs, offering both short-term and longer-term placements.
