We are looking to recruit reliable, professional, and detail‑focused Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools during their busy exam periods. This flexible, part‑time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in an educational environment and can commit to maintaining the highest standards of exam integrity and student support. As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring that examinations run smoothly and in accordance with JCQ regulations. Duties include preparing exam rooms, supervising students throughout the assessment, distributing and collecting papers, and reporting any irregularities. You will help create a calm, supportive atmosphere that enables students to perform at their best while ensuring all procedures are followed accurately. This is a supply‑based position, offering work on an as‑needed basis during exam seasons, including mock exams and summer GCSE/A‑Level sessions. It suits individuals seeking flexible hours, such as those with other commitments, retirees, or anyone looking to contribute to the smooth running of school examinations. Full training will be provided, and no previous experience is required—just professionalism, punctuality, and a commitment to safeguarding and fairness. Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be committed and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.
This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate is calm, reliable, and highly attentive to detail, with the confidence to uphold exam regulations and maintain a focused, supportive environment for students. They will be punctual, professional in their conduct, and able to follow clear procedures accurately. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure are essential, as is a commitment to ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the examination process. They will also be adaptable and comfortable working on a supply or casual basis, often stepping into different school settings at short notice. A friendly but firm approach, good organisational skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team are key qualities. While previous experience is beneficial, it is not essential—what matters most is a dependable attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in supporting young people during an important stage of their education.
