You’ll be involved in supporting pupils in the classroom, working with small groups and providing one‑to‑one support where needed, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment across a range of school settings.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be committed  and confident working with pupils in a Primary & Secondary School setting.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are keen to hear from enthusiastic and reliable individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in an educational setting. The ideal candidate may already have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within primary or secondary schools, or may be looking to transfer their skills from a health, social care, youth work, childcare, residential care, psychology, sports coaching or similar people‑focused background. Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, emotional wellbeing, behaviour support or personal care is highly valued, as are strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach. You will be adaptable, confident working across different school environments and committed to supporting pupils both academically and socially. Due to the supply nature of the role, candidates must be flexible, available for between 1–5 days per week, and able to travel to schools in Loddon and the surrounding areas; access to transport or reliable local travel is therefore essential. Full support, guidance and safeguarding checks will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in education or take the next step in a school‑based support role.
