This primary school has a well‑organised Upper Key Stage 2 phase with clear expectations and established routines, making it a positive environment for day‑to‑day supply cover. Staff are used to welcoming visiting teachers and provide clear guidance to support smooth handovers at the start of the day. The role sits within a purposeful classroom setting where pupils are encouraged to work independently and take responsibility for their learning. There is potential for continuity where cover extends beyond short‑term absence.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic  and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

The school is looking for an Upper Key Stage 2 teacher who is confident stepping into classes at short notice and quickly establishing a calm, productive atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organised and comfortable delivering pre‑planned lessons while responding to pupils’ needs. Strong behaviour management and a consistent approach to classroom expectations are essential. Teachers open to longer‑term placements when required will be particularly well suited to this role.

What you’ll need to apply

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – we can help you apply. 
Right to work in the UK. 
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable). 
Dedication to safeguarding children. 
The role involves daily supply with flexibility to support longer‑term cover where needed. 
Experience teaching in Years 5 or 6 would be advantageous. 
Clear communication with staff at the start and end of each day is important to maintain continuity for pupils.
