D&T Teacher Bury St Edmunds Suffolk. 4myschools is delighted to be partnering with an esteemed educational institution in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic D&T Teacher. This full-time position, commencing in September 2023 and lasting until December 2023. Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive D&T lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Utilize a range of effective teaching techniques and strategies to facilitate student learning and promote a deep understanding of D&T.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and nurtures a love for the subject among students.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students, empowering them to develop their scientific skills and knowledge.
- Incorporate technology and other educational resources to enhance instruction and engage students in hands-on activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child’s academic performance.
- Stay abreast of advancements and trends in Design and Technology education to continually enhance teaching methodologies and content delivery.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching D&T at secondary school level.
- Genuine passion for education and a strong desire to inspire students to develop a lifelong love for science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that caters to the individual needs of students.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for effective classroom management and administrative tasks.
