Responsibilities:
- Assist the Headteacher in providing strategic leadership and management of the school, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to implement the school’s vision, ethos, and values, ensuring they are embedded throughout the school community.
- Support the development and implementation of an innovative and inclusive curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of our students.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations, student engagement, and a love for learning.
- Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of student progress and attainment, using data to inform targeted interventions and improvement strategies.
- Establish effective partnerships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to enhance the educational experience and well-being of our students.
- Contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of all students, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment is maintained at all times.
- Stay abreast of current educational practices, policies, and research to drive school improvement and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent teaching and leadership skills.
- Experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting, preferably as an Assistant Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.
- A deep understanding of primary education and the ability to implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum, assessment procedures, and educational policies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Commitment to inclusive education, with the ability to cater to the needs of diverse learners.
- A passion for continuous professional development and a desire to stay updated with the latest educational research and practices.
