We are searching for enthusiastic and empathetic individuals to join our team as Special Education Needs Teaching Assistants with a specific focus on students with PMLD. Whether you are seeking day-to-day or long-term supply work, this role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our exceptional students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer one-to-one or small group support to students with PMLD.
- Assist in formulating and executing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Aid students in their day-to-day activities, including personal care when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the teaching team to adapt and customise learning materials.
- Promote social and emotional development through positive interactions.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with students with PMLD or in a similar SEN setting is advantageous.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a sincere passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Excellent communication and teamworking abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- A readiness to undergo relevant training and development.
