4myschools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team and contribute to the physical development and overall well-being of our students in Key Stages 1 – Key Stages 4.
Located in central Norwich, our client school is known for its inclusive and supportive environment, providing a great opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions to students across Key Stages 1 to 4.
Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs and abilities of individual students.
Promote teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship among students.
Assist in the organisation and coordination of school sports events, fixtures, and tournaments.
Provide individual coaching and support to students to help them improve their skills and performance.
Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and any incidents related to sports activities.
Collaborate with other members of the physical education department to ensure a cohesive and effective sports curriculum.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications and certifications in sports coaching, such as a degree in Sports Science, Coaching Certificate, or equivalent.
Experience working as a sports coach, preferably in an educational setting or with young individuals.
Strong knowledge and understanding of a wide range of sports, including their rules, techniques, and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
Ability to adapt coaching methods to suit the needs and abilities of diverse learners.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
