We are working with a school in the Saxmundham area that area looking for a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their team from January to June. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, cultivating an inclusive classroom environment, and ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to create individualized learning plans.
- Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to address diverse learning styles.
- Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
- Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement school policies and procedures related to SEN.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes a sense of belonging for all students.
Qualifications:
- Specialisation or experience in Special Education Needs (SEN).
- Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEN
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
