Learning Support Assistant Chelmsford Essex

Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant for a non verbal reception child who is on the Autism Spectrum.

This role starts on the 8th of January and will run through until the end of the academic year with the potential to then obtain a contract for the following academic year. You will work 0900-1200 Monday to Friday.

4Myschools is recruiting for a one to one Teaching Assistant to work with a non verbal autistic child in Reception class. This primary school is located in Chelmsford, Essex. This school is a warm and inclusive primary school nestled in the heart of Chelmsford, Essex, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children on the autism spectrum. This school is committed to creating an enriching and nurturing learning environment.

 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in helping our students with autism spectrum disorders excel academically, socially, and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:

 

Providing one-on-one support to a non verbal child with autism, tailoring your approach to their individual needs.

Assisting teachers in developing and implementing specialised learning plans.

Creating a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and included.

Supporting students during structured activities, social interactions, and sensory experiences.

Tracking and documenting progress to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

Relevant qualifications and experience working with children on the autism spectrum.

Empathy, patience, and the ability to build strong rapport with children.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proximity to Chelmsford, Essex, or the willingness to commute.
