Spanish Teacher Chelmsford Essex

We are working with a secondary school in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join the team starting in September until October half term initially, with the possibility of extension.

The school aim to equip their students with valuable language skills that will serve them well beyond their academic journey.  They are looking for someone willing to immerse themselves in to school life and take on the full role of the teacher.  As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, inspiring them to develop their linguistic abilities and appreciation for Spanish culture.

Your duties will include:

  • Delivering engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Promoting active participation and fostering a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students, tracking their progress effectively.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Contributing to the development of the Spanish curriculum and relevant teaching materials.
  • Participating in school events and extracurricular activities to enrich the students’ learning experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A degree in Spanish or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in the language.
  • Experience in teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 levels.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a passion for teaching.
  • The ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • An understanding of the national curriculum and assessment processes.
