Math’s Teacher Central Norwich

Vacancy: Full-Time Math’s Teacher (KS3-KS5)
Location: Central Norwich
Full-time permanent role from September 2024

Math’s Teacher Central Norwich. 4myschools is working with a high school to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join their Math’s department. This is an opportunity to work in a welcoming school with high aspirations for its staff and students.

The school is a 14-19 school with a fabulous multi million pound building with a 21st century learning space, with high end specialist equipment and a burning ambition: to develop tomorrow’s engineering and technology specialists. To do this, they aim to ensure that their students have the skills, qualifications and experience to go to university, to take-up skilled apprenticeships or employment. The school has a specialism in Engineering but they also cater for 14-19 age students with interests in Science, Computing and Mathematics.

The Mathematics Department at the school is well resourced and consists of three mathematicians. At Key Stage 4, all students study Edexcel GCSE Mathematics and many students choose to carry on to study it at A Level. A number of their Engineering courses include applied Mathematics, with this component delivered by the Maths team. Whilst they expect the right candidate to be an excellent practitioner, what is more important is the ability to help develop the department and inspire the next generation of mathematicians, scientists and engineers. This post would be suitable for an ECT or an experienced colleague.

The school is very interested if you are an excellent teacher who has the:

Capability to teach A level and GCSE Mathematics
Belief that all young people can achieve highly
Ability to deliver excellent results
Capacity for hard work
Determination to ensure that the school is the top provider of its type in the country
