We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to work in a primary setting as an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Learning Support Assistant (LSA.) Your role will be crucial in providing support to children with developmental ages as young as 12 months old, helping them progress and thrive.
4myschools is recruiting for a Primary school located in Halstead. You’ll be working with children who have High SEND Needs, including those who are non-verbal and have ASD. Your role will be instrumental in their growth and development.
As an LSA you will to support a child with profound autistic spectrum disorder (ASD.) You will be providing the child with one-to-one support across their school day.
This child is non-verbal and therefore, PECS experience is vital in this role as you will be using picture exchange to work towards communicating with the child. The child has no behavioural needs but there is learning delay, social delay and language delay.
This is a full time, term time role. You will be working 0830-1530 Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:
Work one to one with a child with profound ASD needs.
A good understanding of PECS is vital to this role.
Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership about student progress and concerns.
Requirements:
A Level 3 in early years would be an advantage as this may help with the transition but that is not essential.
It would be beneficial if you have some knowledge of the preschool curriculum.
Confident using PECS.
Passion for education and a genuine interest in contributing to students’ development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and the ability to thrive in diverse learning environments.
Enhanced DBS check (we can assist in the process if needed).
