Role and Responsibilities:
As a Product Design Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality and engaging product design lessons to students aged 11 to 16. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of product design, from ideation and prototyping to materials selection and manufacturing processes.
Your duties will include:
1. Inspiring students to explore their creativity and problem-solving abilities through product design projects.
2. Facilitating hands-on design activities and workshops to foster practical skills and encourage innovative thinking.
3. Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
4. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and mutual respect.
5. Collaborating with colleagues to organize extracurricular activities, competitions, and exhibitions to showcase students’ work.
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the product design field and incorporating industry insights into the curriculum.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status and a degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design or a related field.
2. Previous experience teaching or instructing product design, preferably in a school setting.
3. Strong knowledge of design software and tools commonly used in the industry.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage students effectively.
5. Passion for design, creativity, and nurturing the talent of young individuals.
