The Role:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join the team at a School in Letchworth.
The School believe that the early years of education are crucial in fostering a love for learning and laying a solid foundation for academic success. As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that inspires curiosity, instils confidence, and encourages the holistic development of their students.
Responsibilities:
– Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons based on the national curriculum, ensuring that all students are appropriately challenged and supported.
– Implementing effective teaching strategies to develop literacy, numeracy, and other key skills.
– Creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
– Conducting regular assessments to monitor students’ progress, identifying areas for improvement, and providing targeted interventions.
– Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular activities and projects.
– Building strong partnerships with parents and guardians to foster a supportive home-school connection.
– Contributing to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualification.
– Experience or a strong passion for teaching Year 1 students.
– Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
– Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
– Organizational skills to plan and deliver engaging lessons, manage student progress, and maintain accurate records.
