Are you a passionate and dedicated Year 1 teacher looking for a new challenge in a thriving community? We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Year 1 teacher to join a vibrant primary school in the picturesque town of Bishop’s Stortford. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone ready to inspire and shape young minds in a supportive and dynamic environment.
About the Role:
As a Year 1 teacher, you will have the privilege of guiding children through one of their most formative stages of education. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that not only meet the curriculum standards but also ignite a love for learning. Your role will involve:
– Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to all student abilities.
– Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing feedback to foster their development.
– Creating a nurturing classroom environment that supports students’ emotional and educational needs.
– Collaborating with colleagues and parents to maximise students’ educational attainment.
– Participating in and contributing to school events, activities, and staff meetings.
About You:
– A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent formal teaching degree.
– Experience in teaching at the KS1 level is desirable, but enthusiastic ECT’s are also encouraged to apply.
– A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment framework.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, parents, and staff.
– A commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive approach to learning new teaching strategies.
