We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join a reputable SEN School in Bury St Edmunds, offering a rewarding teaching experience starting ASAP until Easter on a full-time basis.

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (ASAP until Easter)

The Role:

As a KS1 Teacher at our esteemed SEN School in Bury St Edmunds, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and supporting the learning journey of students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, tailored to meet the diverse needs of each child within the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver creative and inclusive lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of SEN students.
– Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and therapists to develop personalized learning strategies.
– Monitor student progress, assess their attainment levels, and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
– Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, maintaining open lines of communication to facilitate effective partnership working.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1 students.
– Demonstrated understanding of SEN principles and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
– Adaptability and resilience to meet the challenges of working within a SEN environment.
– Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality within the classroom and school community.
