Position: 1-1 Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in a student’s life? Do you have a knack for providing personalized support to learners with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated 1-1 Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Colchester, working closely with a pupil diagnosed with Global Learning Difficulties (GLD).
As a 1-1 Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in the educational journey of our student, providing tailored assistance to ensure they reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
π Assisting the pupil in understanding and engaging with curriculum materials.
π§ Implementing personalised learning strategies to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
π€ Building a supportive and nurturing relationship to foster confidence and independence.
π Collaborating with teachers and educational professionals to create and adapt learning plans.
π Monitoring progress and providing feedback to both the pupil and relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with individuals with GLD or similar learning difficulties.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
β
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learners.
β
The ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the pupil’s learning style.
β
Relevant qualifications in education, special educational needs (SEN), or related fields are desirable but not essential.
