The Role:
4myschools are working with a lovely small village school on the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex. They are seeking a motivated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to cover a maternity from September 2023 until December 2023 as a minimum.
The position is full class teaching responsibility, with a class of 30 students. The class however is split with another teacher in the mornings, so for English and Maths- there would be 15 children to teach. There is a full time Learning Support Assistant in the classroom.
The school are welcoming and have an extremely friendly group of staff. They are well-known to 4myschools and is a school that is loved by our teachers. The position is paid to scale (Teachers Main Pay Scale) from the start (£125 to £199 per day)
Responsibilities:
Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons to pupils in Key Stage 1.
Assessment and evaluation of pupil progress.
Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Contributing to the development and implementation of school policies.
Full class responsibility including planning and marking.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in a Key Stage 1 classroom.
Have either UK or UK ENIC recognised Teaching Qualifications plus UK experience
A passion for education and a commitment to pupil success.
Enhanced DBS certificate subscribed to the update service (or willingness to pay for a new certificate)
