Role Overview:
As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to deliver focused learning interventions. Your role is crucial in helping underperforming students meet their potential through tailored support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver targeted educational interventions to individuals or small groups within a classroom or designated school areas.
– Collaborate with teaching staff to identify students’ learning needs and barriers.
– Assist in the planning and preparation of intervention materials and sessions.
– Track and report on student progress, adapting intervention strategies to enhance effectiveness.
– Promote engagement and learning motivation among students.
– Support the creation of a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
– Communicate regularly with parents and school staff regarding student progress and response to interventions.
Ideal Candidate:
– NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Education or relevant field preferred.
– Prior experience in an educational support role, particularly within intervention settings.
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage students.
– The ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of classroom teachers.
