Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide ASD support within our partnered SEN setting on a long-term supply basis. The successful candidate will work closely with our teaching staff to ensure that students with ASD receive the tailored support they need to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one support to students with ASD, both inside and outside the classroom.
– Assist in the implementation of EHCP’s for students with ASD.
– Support the development of social skills, communication skills, and independence among students with ASD.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students within the SEN setting.
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with students with ASD within a SEN setting is highly desirable.
– Strong understanding of ASD and its impact on learning and behaviour.
– Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs support is advantageous.
