Role Overview:

As a Drama Teacher, you will have the opportunity to ignite students’ imaginations and cultivate their talents in dramatic arts. From exploring classic plays to devising original performances, you will play a pivotal role in developing students’ confidence, creativity, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
– Encourage active participation and collaboration through group work, improvisation, and performance activities.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves and explore their creativity.
– Organise and oversee extracurricular drama activities, such as school productions, drama clubs, and workshops.
– Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
– Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama across the curriculum and contribute to the school’s wider community.

Requirements:

– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
– Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of drama pedagogy and curriculum frameworks.
– Passion for drama education and a commitment to nurturing students’ artistic and personal development.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
– Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and inspired to excel.
