We are currently seeking a committed SEN Supply Teacher to join our team in Ipswich, Suffolk. About the Role:
– Position: SEN Supply Teacher
– Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
– Class Size: Small groups of 8 pupils
– Age Range: 8-16 years old
– Special Educational Needs: SEMH, SLCN, ADHD, ASD, challenging behaviours
Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with diverse learning requirements.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.
– Implement effective behaviour management strategies to address challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions within the classroom.
– Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for pupils with SEN.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
– Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SLCN, ADHD, ASD, and challenging behaviours is essential.
– Strong understanding of SEN pedagogy, differentiated instruction, and inclusive teaching practices.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
– Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
