Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Outreach Worker to join a dynamic team within a supportive school environment in Ipswich. This role focuses on providing tailored support to pupils with SEMH challenges, aiming to foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement effective strategies to engage pupils with SEMH needs.
– Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote pupil wellbeing.
– Provide one-to-one support and group interventions as needed.
– Monitor and record pupil progress, adapting approaches as necessary.
– Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in SEMH support.
Requirements:
– Experience in working with children or young adults, particularly those with SEMH needs.
– A qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counselling) is desirable.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– A proactive, understanding, and patient approach.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion at all times.
