Position: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Lowestoft
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Children attend for 4 hours within this shift)
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in this role, you will play a vital part in providing support to KS2 aged children within a dynamic educational setting. The position entails assisting children who may present with behaviours that challenge, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment conducive to their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
– Providing one-on-one support to children during class time
– Assisting with behavioural management strategies
– Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to implement individualised learning plans
– Supporting children in their social and emotional development
– Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with KS2 aged children
– Passion for working in education and making a positive impact on children’s lives
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
– Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development (desirable but not essential)
