Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are currently seeking a SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist educational setting catering to 11-16-year-olds with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

As a SEN Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored Maths lessons to small classes of 4 to 5 students across two sites in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. The role involves working closely with students aged 11-16 who may display challenging behaviours, providing individualised support to help them achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver dynamic Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students with SEMH.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and motivated to engage with the curriculum.
– Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals, including Teaching Assistants, to provide personalised support and interventions.
– Implement behaviour management strategies effectively to address any challenges that may arise during lessons.
– Monitor student progress closely and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to ensure all students are making meaningful progress.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths to secondary-aged students.
– A genuine passion for working with young people with SEMH needs and a commitment to promoting their academic and personal development.
– Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
– Flexibility to work across two sites in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
