Staff-Student Ratio: 1:2

Role Overview:
As a General Cover Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to small classes of 11-16-year-old students with SEMH needs. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of educators and support staff, you will create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes academic progress and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of students
– Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic and personal growth
– Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
– Implement behaviour management strategies effectively to support student engagement and progress
– Collaborate with the wider school community to promote the holistic development of students
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
– Experience working with students with SEMH needs preferred but not essential
– Ideally, experience teaching History
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
– A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people
