Are you a passionate and dedicated History Teacher looking for a new challenge in a dynamic school environment? We are currently seeking a qualified History Teacher for a reputable school in Potters Bar, available to start in September 2024. This position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
About the Role:
As a History Teacher at our client school, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire a love for history among students. The role involves teaching students across Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, preparing them for both GCSE and A-Level examinations. You will have the support of a robust humanities department and access to excellent resources to enhance your teaching practice.
Responsibilities:
– Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
– Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
– Assess and record student progress and provide grades and feedback.
– Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and enforcement of school rules.
– Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
– Stay updated with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
– Holds a relevant teaching degree with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK.
– Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for history.
– Has previous experience in teaching History at secondary school level.
– Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Able to engage students and demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
