We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Drama Teacher with the versatility to teach KS3 English and/or Media Studies to join a vibrant secondary school in Welwyn. This is a full-time position, commencing in September, offering an enriching environment for both personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging and creative drama lessons that captivate and inspire students.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity and express themselves.
– Integrate elements of English and/or Media Studies into the curriculum, providing a holistic educational experience.
– Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their academic development.
– Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success and growth of the Drama, English, and Media Studies departments.
– Participate in extracurricular activities, such as school productions or clubs, to enrich the educational experience for students.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Drama, English, Media Studies, or a related field.
– Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary level, with the ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
– Familiarity with the KS3 English and/or Media Studies curriculum, with the capability to integrate these subjects into drama lessons.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students.
– Passion for education and a commitment to the holistic development of young learners.
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and foster a positive learning environment.
